Questions organised by topic

Your questions, our honest answers.

Answers grounded in Cameroonian realities, clearly separating what is decided, planned or still to be confirmed.

01

Launch and access

Availability, cities, languages and orders from the diaspora.

01When will YamoZone be available?

The launch is scheduled for February 1, 2027, followed by a progressive opening. The waitlist will receive information about the beta and the areas actually available.

02Which cities will the service start in?

Douala and Yaoundé are being considered as pilot areas. Covered neighbourhoods and available categories will be confirmed before opening; the site does not yet promise nationwide coverage.

03Can I use YamoZone in French and English?

Yes. The site and product experience are designed in French and English. Some seller-provided content may need translation or moderation before publication.

04Can I order from abroad for someone in Cameroon?

That journey is planned. The payer may be abroad while the recipient and delivery address are in Cameroon, subject to the payment methods and areas available at launch.

05Will YamoZone only be a mobile app?

iOS and Android apps are planned. Official links will be added after the store listings are approved; for now, this site remains the pre-launch information point.

02

Orders and delivery

Addresses, landmarks, timeframes, multi-seller orders and recipient handover.

01What if my neighbourhood has no precise street address?

The planned journey combines neighbourhood, a known landmark, phone number, GPS position when authorised and delivery notes. The driver will need to confirm the details before handover.

02How will delivery fees and timeframes be calculated?

They should depend on the area, seller, weight or volume, handover method and driver availability. The amount and an estimate must be shown before an order is confirmed.

03Will an order from several sellers arrive at once?

Not necessarily. The system is intended to split orders by seller. Each part may have its own preparation, driver, fee and tracking, shown clearly.

04What happens if the recipient does not answer?

The driver will need to contact the recipient under the published procedure. Rules for another attempt, return to seller and possible fees remain to be confirmed before launch.

05How will delivery be proved?

Depending on the case, an OTP, QR code, signature or photo confirmation is planned. The exact method must suit the order type and privacy rules.

03

Payments and refunds

Mobile Money, cards, cash on delivery, failed payments and refunds.

01Which payment methods will be accepted?

Mobile Money and cards are planned. Supported operators and cards, fees and limits will be published once integrations and controls are validated.

02Will cash on delivery be available?

This option is not confirmed. If offered in certain areas or categories, its conditions and any fee will be shown before ordering.

03What if I am charged but the order fails?

Support must be able to check the transaction reference, reconcile the payment and explain what happens next. Resolution or refund timing will depend on the payment method and will be published before launch.

04Will prices and fees be shown in FCFA?

Yes, the local experience is designed around FCFA. For a payment from abroad, the bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate and fees.

05How will a refund work?

It should follow the decision after a cancellation, return or dispute and, where possible, go back to the original payment method. Timing by payment method remains to be confirmed.

04

Sellers, providers and drivers

Applications, documents, allowed categories and field operations.

01Can I already become a seller or provider?

Yes, a pilot application can be prepared before opening. Access to selling features will depend on checks of the profile, activity and proposed categories.

02Can a small or informal business apply?

An application may be reviewed, but the documentary, tax and commercial criteria for each activity type still need validation. YamoZone does not promise automatic acceptance.

03Which services will be allowed?

Events, creative work, home services, non-medical beauty, non-regulated learning and logistics are among the categories considered. Regulated or higher-risk activities will not open without a specific framework.

04Which documents will drivers need?

The planned journey includes identity, contact details, operating area, vehicle and the evidence required for the transport method. The final list will be published before missions are activated.

05When will seller commissions and fees be known?

After the commercial model is validated. No rate is announced today; commissions, fees and withdrawal terms must be shown before a seller commits.

05

Trust, support and data

Verification, prohibited products, disputes, privacy and the AI assistant.

01How will I recognise a verified seller or driver?

A visible status is planned after the necessary information and documents have been reviewed. It will not replace your own caution and may be suspended if new risks emerge.

02How can I report a counterfeit, dangerous or prohibited product?

Every listing should be reportable. YamoZone plans moderation, human review and, depending on risk, suspension of the listing or account. Emergency services and competent authorities remain the priority whenever their intervention is required.

03How will returns and disputes work?

A process with a reason, photos or other evidence, a seller response and support review is planned. Time limits and eligible categories will be published before the first transactions.

04What will happen to my identity documents and data?

YamoZone plans to limit collection, protect sensitive documents, control access and define retention periods. The final policy must identify owners, purposes, rights and contacts before launch.

05Is the voice and AI assistant already connected to the catalogue?

Not yet. The site provides a bilingual demonstration. The transactional version must use the real catalogue and a secure API; it must never invent a product, price, seller or stock level.

Everything you yamo, in your zone and beyond.
